Permission and rules with email append in americas and internationally
Permission:
AcquireSoft and our clients pursue our email append permission policy very seriously. AcquireSoft and its International division follows the FEDMA online permission policies to the dot. European online email marketing standards are extremely strict compared to the DMA, and AcquireSoft takes pride in using the FEDMA standards for email appending.
The Association for Interactive Media's (AIM) Council for Responsible E-mail (CRE) overwhelmingly passed a resolution that supports sending e-mail to existing offline customers. AcquireSoft fully endorses the concept of “Opt Out” e-mail to existing offline customers. In the vast majority of cases, customers prefer an on-line relationship.
Our first level and utmost important aspects of permission are granted by the fact that we are appending customer databases with our highly sophisticated email appending software that uses thousands of different email matching algorithms.
The second level of permission is granted through third party permission lists. Acquiresoft’s primary concern in selecting database licenses is that the members of the licensees databases have all given permission to be contacted by third party partners. Currently, we have agreements with over 28 licensee databases, which consist of over 100 million records that reside securely in our datacenters in our email appending databases.
The third and final level of permission is granted by a tailored, branded permission letter that is sent as an email requesting permission from the patron to be contacted in the future via email. (Please see sample)
